Grade 5 go STOMP! - Team work! Rehearsing for the first round

Grade 5 have a harder work to do. 

They need to come up with a creative idea as a team (which is harder than working solo!) and perform NOT ONLY rhythm but a combination of drama /acting and music.

In other words they need to perform a 90 seconds creative number that will capture their audience.

Their video clip will be uploaded on this blog and you can vote for them.

Grade 4 is getting ready for the STOMP! Competition: Day one.

Jasper used his hands and the final score was 36.5

Michelle had a nice idea with a pencil and a paper. Her final score for was 30.0

Angus kept taking out of his "magic bag" different instruments...

His score for today was 40.5

Mackin performed a nice number with cups; his score was 35.0

Elsa kept it simple and beautiful

Her score was 49.0

Jonah performed a clever number using spoons. His score was 29.5

Emily (aka: Matilda) was very well prepared 

She brought her own drum sticks and...

...she totally captured her audience.
Her score was the highest: 60.0

Grade 3 STOMP! Day One, Trials

As we are discovering different ways to produce rhythm and music we understand how sound changes when using different materials.
Day One with Grade 3 as each one of the students tries to find a nice rhythmic pattern which is easy to follow, easy to remember and...easy to practice!

Victoria with her rainbow cup. Lately she decided that she is going to try a string and pen.

Wilson and his box with the two different sides.

Rachel came up with a very creative idea to use a kitchen grill

Dahuyn tries to reduce the sound by covering her plastic box with a towel

Adrien helped her to think a nice rhythmic pattern

...and then he performed his number using a bamboo stick and a racket!

Jong Wan brought a lot of different materials; the bowl with the stones won the battle!

Please choose between Queen and David Bowie and send me a Google presentation (at least 6 slides) with a small bio, a link to a song from early years and a link to a song that is really famous including some interesting facts.
The best presentation will be awarded with 20 music points and if it is in my inbox before the spring break finishes you'll get 2 music points.
