Second week! Grades 1 and 2

Our second week has just finished and music flows everywhere!

During our Music History Session, we learned everything about the origin of the music notes' names.
We traveled 600 years ago to the Gregorian Period just to discover that during this period people were drawing squares and the stuff had only 4 lines! Then we discovered that the first name of Do was Ut. We listened to some Gregorian Chant music and we were introduced to the great great grandfather of the piano: Cembalo! We had fun trying to sing the infinite song, Canon - in fact we did very well!
During our Ear Training Session, we had our first introduction for 2/4 and 3/4 beat. We played a game trying to figure out whether the beat we were listening to, was written on 2/4 or 3/4.
